The concept behind the “Regifted Light” series came to me when I was studying wavelengths in order to tweak and optimize my processes and lighting settings in the studio.
After much reading and research, I became fascinated and obsessed by the fact that light keeps on bouncing around until it reaches you.
Until it gets absorbed and get turned into heat, it just gets reflected.
Or, as I prefer to see it... regifted!
Without this feature (or property) of light, nothing as we know it would exist.
Not only did my research lead me to better understanding lightwaves and how they interact, it also set the foundation for this series that focuses on this thing we all share – light!
In order to stay true to the basic features of light, I used the seven colours of the rainbow – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet – but made sure to organize them in a way where even though only the seven colours of the rainbow are used, it does not end up looking overly rainbow-ish.
